Mark Pichaj

Pichaj is a friendly guy but beyond that a terrible teacher. The work for physical science was way overboard and the t.a. does not even grade it. He overloads you with work and does not give grades back on time. He does not take time to explain things thoroughly and expects you to do the majority of the learning on your own.

This prof is useless for those wanting to become teachers. He teaches the science subject slanted to a Christian-only worldview. I wouldn't mind it if the class wasn't advertised for the CA credential program. Students are set up for failure in that respect. Crying in front of the class didn't help either.

really friendly guy who loves the Lord but is confusing sometimes, unclear on directions and often won't clarify. He has trouble explaining complex ideas to "non-science" people. He takes a lot of time for prayer which is friendly but combined with other distractions in class, our time could have been used a lot better. Also, you dont need the comic books

Most disorganized, unaccommodating prof.. He expected us to know things already and when I expressed that I didn't he told me I know it and it's review from high school science but I never took those courses in hs. He lost my projects and never gave exams back to us. Avoid if possible

So glad I took Pichaj's class! He is not only passionate about the subject matter, but he is also clearly passionate about the well being and the spiritual lives of his students. He is an understanding and admirable man of God. I learned a decent amount about Chemistry from his class. Take his class-you will not regret it!

Just as all the other reviews have said he does not grade properly or on time, he seems to be under the impression that giving us more problems that we do not understand how to do in the first place with magically make us learn. His exams are far too difficult for the amount of material we are expected to know in such a short period of time. AVOID!
